Why do people vote on the abortion issue when it's virtually impossible to change?

Great point. All the more reason I am not worried about McCain and Palin being in office. I am pro-choice, but respect their pro-life stance. I like too much about their other stances to not vote for them on one topic that, as you say, can only be changed by the Supreme Court. I can wait and worry about women's reproductive rights another day.
