Survey: What is the first emotion you feel when you realize you've been lied to?

I haven't really been lied to recently (that I know of); I just ask b/c being lied to is one of my pet peeves. I really really hate it. My first reaction is anger and a sense of betrayal, whether it be a lie from a friend or loved one, or whether it is something like a bait-and-switch marketing tactic that I fell for, etc. I just hate being lied to, no matter what it is! What is your first reaction or emotion, and how do you deal with being lied to?

My computer wont start up?

when i turn on the power on on my computer it runs but nothing shows up but a blank black screen. the last thing i did was a disk check on the sys diagnostics. it failed and i couldnt turn it off by pressing power as i had to take the battery out. then i turned it on and nothing came up. the last 2 disk checks that i ran failed and had to take the battery out just to reboot it but when i turned it back on the last 2 times even though it failed it worked just fine. why doesnt it work now and what can i do? i absolutly cant afford to replace my hard disk 1 because i have very important files i have to have.

Why is she like this?

There's this girl in my homeroom, and she is friends with 2 of my friends. She has some sort of problem with me and i don't know why. I never did anything to her. She was on my field hockey team, and she never made any effort to be nice to me. For example, it was my friend's birthday and she made a card for my friend, and everyone signed it. They are much improved from last year and definitely have a shot to compete next year. Last year they were just filling in holes with guys like Walter Silva, Shawn Hill, and Kevin Correia(what a great surprise) but now they enough pitching in case someone goes down. The bullpen is very strong and they have pretty good defense. Full years out of Venable, Blanks, and Cabrera will give the line up a healthy change for the better. With Headly moving back to his natural position he should improve his numbers as well. If Chris Young can stay healthy he can lead the pitching staff with solid numbers. 1, 2, 3, 9, 14 are all kind of celebrity or name driven colognes which I tend to stay away from because they generally smell cheap, though I don't know their smells from experience. The Curves that I have smelt have are pretty good but not great. Abercrombie is okay if you're a teen. Diesel has made a good cologne in Fuel For Life, but I don't know about Plus Plus. WOW , I know how you feel. When the something thats happened to you like this and is bein starred at you everyday its very hard to forgive and forget. I am tryin to find ways to deal with it too. I find myself a lot of time with a no give a sh** attitude most of the time but really that only works for so much. Seems as though lesser developed countries have less occurences of diabetes than 'modern" generations. back

way back when, before refined breads and manual labor was the norm, less diseases were discovered. so safe to ume that diabetes is caused by being sedentary and fastfoods. because of this, as we age, we have to undo the damage done by a fast, stressed lifestyle. where food is everywhere, its convenient and not usually very healthy, all in the name of taste. so now, as a product of this hard and fast generation, we are degenerating as modern society. weakened by laziness,inactivity and ill choices in food., taking a toll on younger people in the form of obesity and earlier onset diabetes. seems like we are doomed until we wake up and take charge of our own lives. technology is slowly but surely making it easier to kill ourselves. anyone agree?

Can multiple (3) alligator lizards of roughly the same size live in one tank?

I think they're southern alligator lizards. Two have the same pattern of scales and are almost exactly the same size, and the other one one is a little darker colored and a little larger. I have been keeping the darker of the three lizards (I caught the other two just today) since May in a tank with a water dish, climbing obstacle, dirt, and a 50 watt UVB light. I've been feeding him small crickets from the pet store. Can I keep these two lizards I found with him/her, or should I just let them go?

Help! I have a singing audition coming up and I think I may have caught a case of bronchitis!?

A few days ago i woke up with really tight chest and a horrible cough. I believe I have bronchitis because I have had it in the past so I know what it feels like. I read that it can take up to 3 to 4 weeks to go away. This is not good because I have a singing audition coming up in 3 weeks and I need my voice to be in tip top shape.I have tried to sing now but it is extremely hard. when i sing in chest voice it is painful! and using my belting range is almost impossible because when i try my voice cracks and no sound comes out. What can I do to get past this? any remedies or cures? The judges are supposed to be really hard and there is stiff competition. Im not so sure if ill be able to show my voice at the best of my ability now. help!

I ask this question as a big blockbuster film has been made (the last airbender) which has been influenced and based on an east asian cartoon. The major characters are all caucasian (whites with indians and middle eastern's as the bad guys) with no east asians in the film. Obviously the film producers have done this to make the film appeal to a wider (i.e. european) audience but my question is if the film had only cast east asians as the major characters (like it is in the film) would this deter you from watching it..

I think you will struggle to become a solicitor with a 2:2 degree. It's not a high clification at all. Potty training twins??

I have 3yr old twin girls. I recommend buying 2 potty chairs, because the moment one child announces she has to go to the potty the other one has to go too. Let them pick out their own so they will have their own special one. When I first started introducing the potty I put it in the corridor just because it was more convenient. Though they prefer it to be in the bathroom so they can be like mommy. The best advice for you potty training them is just to be patient, and realize they both may not meet your goal of doing it by Feb. And give them allot of praise when they are doing good. Good luck.

*Am I going to get the Stomach Virus?

Please help me out, I got 2 hours of sleep last night because I was so paranoid about getting the Stomach Virus. Ok, so my cousins got the stomach virus some days ago, then my uncle got it, then yesterday my aunt got it. I hugged her before she had it bad. She started throwing up later and we went home and I was in the car with her for about an hour. Did not touch her at all after I hugged her earlier. I slept over there. Today I was washing my hands like crazy, drank a lot of OJ, didn't touch anyone, didn't put my fingers in my mouth. I don't feel sick, but my stomach has growled and stuff sometimes today. Am I going to get it? What are the chances? How can I tell?

I have 4 ball pythons. I just recently rescued an adult 2300 gram normal ball python. I want to breed it but do not know how to probe ball pythons and i know you cant pop adults. May 3 year old cat is afraid of new puppies?

I found a kitty about a year and a half ago. I am guessing he is around 3. A while back I babysat my father-in-laws two big dogs for a week and my cat freaked out and didn't come back for a week after they left. Well my husband and I got two new puppies of our own yesterday. At first they were really tired when we brought them home so they just slept on the floor. My cat came and slept about a foot away from them and didn't even care about them. Then later they went out to play and got all riled up and excited and then they were interested in my cat and kept getting in his face. My husband and I tried our best to stop them but it was kind of hard to. My kitty always ran away but stayed in our yard. He kept a far distance but watched the puppies with curiousity. Well he came back in last night to eat but then he left. Normally he stays in the house at night and sleeps with us. I am afraid he will run away for good. We put the puppies in there cage and he still seems timid of them. My husband was holding our cat when they were running around this morning and he started hissing and kind of dug into my husband a lil bit with his claws. He ate breakfast and then left. My cat loves to roam the neighborhood. He is very friendly with the whole neighborhood and one of his best friends is my neighbors poodle so I know he is okay with some dogs. I was hoping since they are little he wouldnt be afraid so much but since they are easily excitable it seems to make him scared. How can I keep my cat from getting scared of them? Even when we calm the puppies down and hold them down he refuses to come close anymore.

Got scammed buying car what to do?

my 8 & a half to 9 month old pittbull WONT stop pooping on my floor, no matter HOW many times i put him out. I put him out every 1/2 hour, & yet he still comes in & poops! we adopted him a month ago, by a neighbor that starved him & let them run around. but i have this dog in the house at night, where he faithfully sleeps by my side of the bed, but i get up to poop.. everywhere. he is not a small dog, He is probably bigger then he should be but.. How can we improve out TV signal?

We live in a basement flat of an old Edwardian house and out TV signal is rubbish. We have freeview built into our HD tv and when we first moved in we got all channels with a really good picture. However about 1 month ago all the channels suddenly lost their signal and we only get channels 1-4 on terrestrial tv with a really poor picture and 6 freeview channels with a clear picture, but they are rubbish channels- BBC 1 and 2 which we have on terrestrial, BBC 3, DAVE, CBBC, BBC News 24. As you can see these are hardly the most interesting channels! We can't get sky as we don't own the flat and are moving into our own home in September so paying for installation etc would be silly. If there anything we can add to our TV, to the wall?? Our ariel is our landlords one who live above us and their picture is fine and they get all channels. The TV isn't broken as we took it to our friends house and it worked fine. Please anyone help, I'm going crazy with no channel 5 for neighbours! Thanks

Story is we went to moviehouse with my tito along with his wife and daughter. So I stayed at the tsinelasan crying out loud hoping that they would come and get me but no one came up. To make story short, the owner adapted me and from then on i never heard of them anymore.
